View Eagles in Their

Natural Setting

Eagle Fest will again be featuring tours. Each tour will leave out from the Rains Eagle Fest Grounds at the times posted for the tour. Dress appropriately.

Even though East Texas weather can be mild in February, please prepare for any type of weather and for rapid changes. This is especially true of the weather on the Lake. The temperature will always be colder on the water. It is advisable to wear warm clothing, carry along blankets and possibly rain gear. High winds or extremely bad weather may force the cancellation of some of the tours. In these cases, ticket holders may transfer to different tours or will be granted a refund.

While almost every tour has seen Bald Eagles in the past, there is no guarantee. Early morning and later afternoon tours always see the largest number of Eagles. Every tour has fun on the lake and enjoys the beauty and nature of Lake Fork or Lake Tawakoni.

Some tips include:

Take an early morning tour if possible

Take along a blanket

Dress in layers, with a cap and scarf

Bring your camera, film and binoculars

Plan for a FUN trip

If you are not fortunate enough to join us on a tour, then take one or more of our suggested Self Guided Tours

Water Tours Schedule

Due to the drought conditions that exist in NE Texas lake levels are at record lows.

A limited number of barge tours have been added.  These will be available for tours on Lake Fork only.

Barge tours are limited to 8 persons per boat.  The boats are operated by drivers who will locate bald eagles but are not professional bird guides.
